I’m Blake Thompson. Husband, father, friend, goofball, lover of Mississippi State sports (I’m a glutton for punishment) and a passionate follower of Jesus Christ.
I’m am youth minister at FUMC in Clinton, MS. The fam and I have been here for over a year now after having worked in Amory, MS for about eight years. Amory is my home town as well. My wife was from just up the road in Tupelo, MS (home of the king [Elvis]).
I would like to think I’m a decent ping pong player, but know that I have much room for improvement. I would like to learn web design and create my own portable podcasting studio. I want to visit Oregon, the United Kingdom, Austraila, and New York City.
My wife and I are parents of two incredible girls that rock our world in new ways everyday. Parenting is an adventure. And trying to be Godly parents is even more of an adventure.
I look athletic and like sports, but I’m really clumsy and not very skilled. It’s always funny to have youth pick me thinking I’m gonna to be good and all I try to do is pass the ball.
