Nothing really special. We skipped Halloween by going out to eat then to a high school football game. Our team won (as expected) and finished 2nd in the division (one spot lower than I expected). Then went to a 5th Quarter til Midnight. Came home and watched House Rules with my wife. It’s another reality show that’s sucked me in. Basically you have a huge home store (Lowe’s) who sponsers a contest between three couples to do renovations on some pretty nice homes. They do it room by room and are grades on their work. Of course, they go to Lowe’s to buy all their products. You have the older wiser married couple, the late 20’s/early 30’s couple who is living together, and then the young newly weds who wear Christain t-shirts but slip cuss words when they hit their fingers with a hammer. It’s interesting..check it out.
Then I got to enjoy a Saturday when MSU didn’t lose a football game…they were off this weekend. But I got to see UMiss win their 5th SEC game in a row…(*puke*). My wife took me to Celebration Villiage. A hugh crafts bazzar which wasn’t as bad as I thought it was going to be. Then after going out to eat (for the 2nd night in a row) we came back home and watched Whale Rider. Rachel told me it was awesome. The reviews at Amazon said it was awesome. It won various awards at international film festivals. And it was a movie with a good point, but to me it was slooooooooooooooooooow. Yeah, it was a drama, but a slow drama at that. But interesting, none the less.
After a day and night at the church with a lazy afternoon inbetween…I called it a night after watching tv for an hour.
So..there’s my weekend.
that's what you get for trusting foriegners.
I can't believe I'm admitting this but I sometimes wear Christian t-shirts and I sometimes cuss when I hit my finger with a hammer…(or slice my fingers wide open when my hand slips off the wrench while changing lawnmower blades.) Maybe I can play.
You're right, Steve. That may have come across slightly judgemental.
Nah, I just related to the comment. And let's face it, if we're gonna wear Christian t-shirts, we (I) need to be aware of what I say (which I usually don't worry about to begin with). Could be a bad witness. But I still relate to the comment. Especially when I slice my fingers wide open while changing lawnmower blades. Tip of the day: wear gloves when changing lawnmower blades. Sorry for rambling. Maybe I need a blog page.
I got the title for your next blog entry… The week that was… 🙂
… or the next entry if he keeps avoiding the PC: "the YEAR that was" 🙂
Hellooooooooooooooo….is anyone out there? Has anyone heard from Blake?
yeah, he's concentrating on some important stuff… not a good excuse if you ask me… what's worse is that he hasnt even read anyone else's blog during this time either! that means he has no idea what is going on with any of us!
bummer. ah well, i guess i'll just have to be content to read your blogs. i like variety, but…you guys were my daily entertainment.
